Delicious Alchemy vanilla sponge cake mix review

So, some of you may have noticed that I've reached 1000 followers on Instagram!  To celebrate I made 1000 followers cupcakes, to do this I used a Delicious Alchemy cake mix - the vanilla sponge one.  I thought I would give you a little review of what I thought of it, so here we are!

The cakes above were the final outcome, and if I do say so myself, they look delicious!!

So, I started off with the cake mix (pictured below).  It is so simple, you just put all of the mixture in a bowl and add 3 large eggs, 180g butter (or butter alternative) and 20ml of water.  All you do is whisk it all together and bake - so so easy!!

Then, bake it at 180c for 20 - 25 minutes and ta-dah, they're done!!  So so simple and quick - ideal if you're in a rush or not the best baker (you can't go wrong!).  Below are the final cupcakes, not decorated.  To decorate, all I did was whisk up some cream and smoother that on.  And to decorate I just added some strawberries.  It ended up really well and tasted amazing!  My non-gluten free dad (who hates everything gluten free) loved them - he actually went back for seconds!!

I made several cupcakes and have put lots in the freezer so I can have them at sixth form as a snack!

You can buy the mix here, or look at other mixes here, or find all of their products here.

Honestly, Delicious Alchemy is one of my favourite brands as they make such affordable (this mix was only £2.99!!) great, yummy products!  What's your favourite mix you've tried?  I think this might be mine!
